| North 'n' South Nine-Patch |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This quilt is the result of a year-long nine-patch block swap organized by The Scrapbags of Wellington, NZ. One of their members, Morven Walker, was living in Kentucky at the time and she recruited me and another local friend, Claire Breswick, to play along. We all swapped nine-patch blocks around the world for months. After the quilt was completed, I sent it to Pauline Cave, one of The Scrapbags, and it was displayed along with the other Scrapbag quilts for several weeks in two Wellington-area quilt shops. New Zealand Quilter Magazine did an article about the project and my quilt was pictured in Issue No. 39 (April 2002). |
